Sunny Bank Mills
The regeneration of Sunny Bank Mills began in the throes of a recession in 2010.
Pockets of refurbishment lead to continuous lettings which gave the owners confidence to consider their vision for the future of Sunny Bank Mills.
The key driver for the vision was employment, supplemented by the desire to retain and invest in the historic buildings.
In order to maximise the offering of business space on site the decision was made to include an area for new development at the heart of the site, through the demolition of the central weaving sheds.
Once the components for the masterplan were finalised, involving discussions with Leeds City Council, a Planning Application was submitted in 2014 and approved in April 2015.
Following five years of investment, employment at Sunny Bank Mills has increased by over 400% so we are now taking steps towards its realisation through the demolition of the central sheds and submission of the first Reserved Matters Application.
