The continued adaptation of this historic building and the changing approach to long term healthcare resulted in the need to explore the opportunity to provide extra care within the grounds of the existing house.

Planning was submitted in 2010 but had to be withdrawn when special circumstances for the building in Greenbelt were not felt to be substantial enough by Kirklees Council.
