Dakota Hotel – External Terrace, Manchester

KPP Architects provided full design services for this £1m project to significantly enhance the popular external terrace to complement the hotel’s restaurant, bar, champagne room and cigar garden.

The 1,400 sq ft sweeping terrace is a dedicated outdoor space including retractable roof canopies and blinds as well as external heaters and feature lighting to allow this highly functional outdoor space to be used year round.

A minimal structure frames the terrace, with venetian trellising supporting green foliage and stone flooring creating a modern, contemporary feel further enhanced by trees and climbing plants with understated seating and dining areas to create a ‘hidden hideaway’
